I've written picture books, short chapter books, and novels.

I am the author of 23 children's books.
Among them are The House on Walenska Street, winner of the
Carl Sandburg Literary Arts Award, and Our Snowman Had Olive Eyes, which received the Society of Midland Authors Children's Book Award.
My novel, My Chocolate Year, is a Sydney Taylor Notable Book,
and my picture book, First Rain, is a PJ Library Selection.
